Theme updates
We release updates to fix bugs, support new Shopify features and add improvements. Updates are free for merchants who bought Unoque.
How updates work
When a new version is available, Shopify shows an update notice for Unoque in your theme library.
- In your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes.
- Find the update notice on your Unoque theme and read the release notes.
- Add the update. Shopify adds the new version to your theme library, with your theme editor changes. Your current theme stays as it is until you publish the new version.
- Open the new version in the theme editor and check your pages.
- When everything looks right, publish the new version.
Keep the previous version in your theme library for a while, so you can go back if you need to.
What's carried over
- Carried over: changes made in the theme editor, such as theme settings, sections, blocks, and the text and images in them.
- Not carried over: changes to theme code, made in Edit code. If you edited code, add those changes to the new version again, or ask the Shopify Partner who made them.
Your products, collections, pages, menus, apps and store settings aren't part of the theme, so updates don't change them.
App blocks and app embeds are part of your theme editor changes, so they're carried over too. After you update, check the pages that use apps.
Check your version
In Online Store > Themes, the version number shows on your theme's card in the theme library. Include it when you contact support.
