Blog
The blog page lists the posts in one blog. Choose Blogs > Default blog from the page selector. By default, it has a Blog posts page section and an Email signup section.
Blog posts page settings:
- Posts per page: from 3 to 24.
- Number of columns on desktop: from 2 to 4.
- Image ratio: Landscape, Square or Portrait.
- Feature the latest post: shows the newest post larger, at the top of the first page.
- Show tag filter: shows the tags used in the blog as links above the posts, so customers can see posts on one topic.
- Show date, Show author and Show excerpt: what each post card shows.
- Color scheme, Top padding and Bottom padding.
Add tags to your posts in your Shopify admin, under Content > Blog posts.
Blog post
Choose Blog posts > Default blog post from the page selector. By default, it has a Blog post section and a Featured collection section for products mentioned in the post.
Blog post settings: Color scheme, Top padding and Bottom padding.
Blocks:
- Title: a link back to the blog, the post's tags, the title, and a line with the date, author and reading time.
- Show date, Show author and Show tags.
- Featured image: the post's image. Hidden when the post has no image.
- Image ratio: Adapt to image, Wide or Landscape.
- Width: Match text width or Page width.
- Content: the text of the post.
- Share: a button to share the post.
- App blocks from your installed apps.
If comments are turned on for the blog in your Shopify admin, a comment form shows under the post. If comments need approval, customers see a message after they post.
Tip: choose a collection in the Featured collection section, or remove it. Until you choose one, it shows example products in the theme editor and stays hidden on your live store.
Standard pages
Pages such as "About us" use the default page template. Choose Pages > Default page from the page selector.
Page settings:
- Use narrow width: keeps lines short, which makes long text easier to read.
- Center heading: centers the page title.
- Color scheme, Top padding and Bottom padding.
The page shows the title and content you write in your Shopify admin under Content > Pages. You can add more sections below it, such as Image with text or FAQ.
To give one page a different layout, create a new page template in the theme editor, then choose it for that page in your Shopify admin under Theme template.
Contact page
Unoque includes a contact page template with a Contact form section and an FAQ section.
- In your Shopify admin, go to Content > Pages and create a page, for example "Contact".
- Under Theme template, choose contact.
- In the theme editor, choose Pages > contact from the page selector to edit it.
If the page has content in your Shopify admin, the Contact form section shows the page title and that content above the form. If the page has no content, the section shows its own Heading and Text instead. To always use the section's Heading and Text, turn off Show page title and content.
See Contact form for its settings.
404 page
Customers see this page when a link is broken or a page no longer exists. It shows a message, a search field and a link to the home page.
404 page settings: Color scheme, Top padding and Bottom padding.
The page also has a Featured collection section, so customers can keep shopping. Choose a collection for it. Until you do, it shows example products in the theme editor and stays hidden on your live store.
The 404 page text can be changed in Edit default theme content.
Password page
When your store is password protected, visitors see this page. Choose Password from the page selector.
Password page settings:
- Image: an image beside the text. 1200 x 1600px recommended.
- Heading: the main message, for example to announce a launch.
- Show email signup: lets visitors subscribe to hear when you open.
- Color scheme: the colors of the page.
The page also shows your logo, your social media icons, and the message you set in Online Store > Preferences. Visitors with the password select Enter using password.
Gift card page
Customers who receive a gift card open this page from their email. It shows the gift card balance, code and QR code, with buttons to copy the code, print the gift card and go to your store. On supported devices, customers can add the gift card to Apple Wallet. Expired or disabled gift cards show a message.
This page has no settings in the theme editor. It uses your logo and your first color scheme.
Customer accounts
Unoque works with Shopify's customer accounts.
- Turn customer accounts on in Settings > Customer accounts.
- When they're on, the header shows an account icon. Signed-in customers see the menu you choose in Customer account menu in the Header section.
- On phones, the mobile menu also has an account link.
- When the cart is empty, the cart page invites signed-out customers to log in to check out faster.
Customer account pages, such as order history and addresses, are provided by Shopify. Their look follows the branding you set for checkout and customer accounts in your Shopify admin, not the theme.
