Sections

Slideshow and image banner

Both sections show a large image with a heading, text and buttons on top. Use Slideshow for several rotating messages at the top of a page. Use Image banner for one campaign or offer anywhere on a page.

Slideshow

Settings

  • Slide height:
    • Adapt to first image: the slideshow keeps the shape of your images instead of cropping them. Use the same image size for every slide.
    • Small, Medium and Large: fixed heights. Images are cropped to fit.
    • Full screen: fills the screen below the header.
  • Make slideshow full width: stretches the slideshow to the edges of the screen. When off, the slideshow follows the page width and has rounded corners.
  • Rotate slides automatically: moves to the next slide on its own. Customers can pause it with the pause button.
  • Change slides every: how long each slide shows, from 3 to 10 seconds.
  • Slideshow description: describe the slideshow for customers using screen readers, for example "New launches and offers".

Slide block

Add up to five slides.

  • Image: 2400 x 1200px recommended. Landscape images work best.
  • Mobile image: 1100 x 1400px recommended. Falls back to the desktop image. Use it when your desktop image has important details near the edges.
  • Subheading: a short line above the heading.
  • Heading: the main message.
  • Heading size: Medium, Large or Extra large.
  • Text: a sentence or two under the heading.
  • First button label and First button link: a solid button. Leave the label empty to hide it.
  • Second button label and Second button link: an outline button. Leave the label empty to hide it.
  • Desktop content position: where the text sits on larger screens, in a 3 x 3 grid from Top left to Bottom right.
  • Mobile content position: Top, Center or Bottom on phones.
  • Show content in a card: puts the text and buttons in a solid box, so they're easy to read on busy images.
  • Card color scheme: the colors of the card.
  • Image overlay opacity: darkens the image so white text stands out, from 0 to 80%.

Without a card, text on slides is white. If your image is light, raise Image overlay opacity or turn on Show content in a card.

Image banner

Settings

  • Image: 2400 x 1000px recommended.
  • Mobile image: a separate image for phones. If empty, phones show the main image.
  • Banner height: Small, Medium or Large. Images are cropped to fit.
  • Make banner full width: stretches the banner to the edges of the screen. When off, the banner follows the page width and has rounded corners.
  • Subheading, Heading and Heading size: the text above and the main message.
  • Text: a sentence or two under the heading.
  • First button label and First button link: a solid button. Leave the label empty to hide it.
  • Second button label and Second button link: an outline button. Leave the label empty to hide it.
  • Content position: Top left, Top center, Middle left, Middle center, Bottom left or Bottom center.
  • Show content in a card: puts the text in a solid box.
  • Card color scheme: the colors of the card.
  • Image overlay opacity: darkens the image so white text stands out, from 0 to 80%.

Tips

  • Keep text out of your images. Text in the theme is readable by search engines and screen readers, and it fits every screen size.
  • Place the main subject of your photo away from the text. If you use Middle left for the text, choose a photo with the subject on the right.
  • In the image picker, you can set a focal point on your image. Unoque keeps that point visible when it crops the image.
  • Check every slide on a phone. Use Mobile image with a portrait photo when the landscape photo crops badly.
  • Use the first slide for your most important message. It loads first and is the one most customers see.
